Competitive
Classes are offered on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, day and time are determined by age group. You dancer will meet for 45 minutes to an 1 hour, also depending on age, once a week at Mires School Of Dance. They will be taking ballet, tap, and jazz, and they will have one costume they wear in the yearly recital at the end of the season. There is no certain dress code, your child may wear whatever they are most comfortable dancing in!
There are four competitive pom teams at Mire School Of Dance. They meet for 1 hour once week, once the competitive schedule is released that might vary. We go to 2-3 competitions every season, and perform at local basketball games. Each team will compete at least one pom routine at each competition. There is no dress code for attending team rehearsals, whatever the dancer is most comfortable dancing in.
This will be additional rehearsal time for dancers interested in being involved in solos, duos, trios, and even smaller group routines. This is open to most ages, and the day time may vary depending on the competition schedule. We also take these dancers to 2-3 competitions. They can do as many routines as they are willing to commit to. Our competitive dancers are extremely dedicated and add this on to their recreational training.
